Poplar clone Venere
POPLAR CULTIVATION
VENERE poplar clone is currently present in many experimental fields in France, Spain, Italy and Hungary. It is currently demonstrating excellent potential in terms of growth, resistance to the main diseases, resistance to the woolly aphid compared to other clones.
This clone is characterised by a smooth white bark reminiscent of old Canadian clones. Recently we have tested its technological characteristic of wood with the first peeling tests. The results obtained are positive for the plywood industry which considers this clone suitable for the production of plywood panels.
